This kitchen and bathroom remodeling project we did in Saint Cloud, MN is a beautiful example of how home remodeling can completely revitalize a dated space. Check out the incredible kitchen remodel images below:
Wow! It’s almost hard to believe that’s the same home, isn’t it? You can tell that the structure and layout of the room are still generally the same, but beyond that, just about everything else was changed—for the better.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the specific elements of this kitchen remodeling project.
Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling Before and After Pictures
These before and after looks of the kitchen cabinets, fridge, and stove offer an incredible look at just how much of an impact some well-designed cabinets can have on a room.
For instance, take a closer look at the refrigerator. It’s actually the same appliance in both photos! However, it looks much smaller and less bulky in the after images because the entire kitchen design is much more streamlined.
The cabinets now extend to the ceiling, which draws your eye upward and makes the room appear much larger. The cabinet above the refrigerator also extends forward all the way over the fridge, adding valuable storage space and also making it so that the fridge doesn’t look like it’s sticking out anymore.
Notice also how the microwave and stove are now built into the cabinet structure, along with added countertops for additional prep space. This new design is much cleaner and is significantly more modern than the old style.
Finally, the crisp white cabinets and clean recessed lighting (along with the beautiful new flooring) all work together to brighten up the room and give it a more welcoming appearance.
Now, take a look at the other side of the kitchen:
On this side of the kitchen, the new cabinets and countertops similarly are brighter and have a less “heavy” appearance than the old design. We also moved the dishwasher over to this side of the kitchen so that it would be more practically placed next to the sink. The new cabinets that extend to the ceiling give the homeowners more storage space and also serve to better frame the window above the kitchen sink.
Finally, we removed the bulky countertop (with the old stove) and the cabinets that jutted out into the room, and instead freed up an area for the homeowners to have an open entryway from the garage into the kitchen. The results of this kitchen remodel simply feels more modern, open, and airy, not to mention how beautiful the kitchen is now.

The old design, though unusual and distinctive, was clearly pretty outdated. However, the new design is much cleaner and simpler—and best of all, more functional, too!

The new cabinet, sink, mirror, and lighting are all dramatic improvements over the previous design. The new cabinets are more spacious and stylish, while the larger mirror makes the room look bigger while also giving the homeowners a better view. And of course, the new lighting makes it easier to see what you’re doing when putting on makeup or cleaning your teeth.

This new shower is a simple, practical beauty. Though the old tiled version was serviceable, the new shower fits in much better with current design trends and makes getting ready in the morning a much more pleasant experience. Check out the elegant arched wall, along with the additional shelving for products and accessories to sit. The new tub also has slimmer walls, which gives a roomier feel to the entire shower and bath.

We saved the best changes for last… just look at what a difference those new walls and flooring make over their old tiled counterparts!
